I have a crush on Kareena says Imran Khan

A blushing Imran admits he’s liked Bebo ever since he saw ‘Refugee’

Kareena and Imran in a still from ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’

Unlike his contemporaries, Imran Khan doesn’t have the image of a skirt-chaser. But even he has some well-guarded secrets of his ‘boyhood’ days. This young actor has made quite a mark in the rom-com space, with “I Hate Luv Storys” (2010) and “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan” (2011) hitting the bullseye at the box office. He’s now getting ready for yet another one, co-produced by Dharma Production and UTV Motion Pictures.

“Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu”, prescribed by the makers as the perfect ‘date film’, will have Imran romancing Kareena Kapoor for the first time. It has been directed by debutant Shakun Batra, who is very close to Imran and who actually indulged him by casting him opposite the girl of his dreams.

Imran, who turns a shade of red even if you mention Kareena casually,
says, “Kareena is the most beautiful actress I’ve worked with. And I’ve worked with some real beauties.’’

Long before he even dreamt of being an actor, Imran had a huge crush on Bebo. He explains, “I found her beautiful right from her first film – “Refugee”. I couldn’t articulate my feelings then, but perhaps I nursed a silent crush. When we started working together, we got along really well. We had a rollicking time. I observed her closely while we were working and even took her pictures without her knowing. She looked so beautiful and ethereal sometimes that clicking her was a natural response.” The “EMAET” promos are already a hit with youngsters, and so are its songs – the title track and “Aunty Ji”.

As Imran tell us, “With Bebo by my side, everything is working out just fine.’’ “Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu” releases on February 10, 2012.

Kareena Kapoor's New Look

Kareena’s size zero figure has been a much-talked-about topic in gossip columns and shows, and she has flaunted her skinny look in many a magazine covers. But, are Indian women ready to take the size zero route? Kareena herself is no longer a size zero and has gained a lot of her weight back. So, what’s with the obsession?

Women have been known for their obsession with their body shape and figure. According to a recent survey released by cosmetics company Garnier, 7% of British women think about their body 50 times a day and that another 20% worry about their body shape 10 times a day.

The body shape these women crave for is not the slim figure of Kate Moss or Victoria Beckham but the enviable curves of Kylie Minogue and Catherine Zeta Jones. Thus they give a clear insight into what women really think when it comes to body shape and image.

Although the glam world has been glorifying thin figures for years now, women in day-to-day life do not want such thin bodies. They prefer that perfectly flat but firm stomach and don’t mind the curves. Not only do they fit into all clothes nicely, life also becomes easy when you are not trying to get anorexic to get that ‘twig’ figure. It is not surprising then that the hour-glass figure has been attracting the world for ages now.

One of the prime reasons for this fetish for curves is because traditionally we have been seeing that our mothers, aunts and other women we interact with in our daily lives are women with curves and are not skinny. Most men subconsciously prefer women with curves as it coincides with a woman's ability to conceive children. People do not see the models flaunting thin bodies as a girl-next-door image. Women want to fill the dresses they wear to get that perfect fit.

Meanwhile, do not misunderstand these curves to be fat. You can't disguise an overweight woman. Women prefer to have voluptuous figures but not obese. As already mentioned, bulges at the breasts and butts are liked but not when they fill out your tummies. In fact too big a butt or breast is also not liked by many.

However, it is a thing of the past when women tied a cloth around their breasts in order to make them appear thin and to get flat figures. Today voluptuous butts and breasts are called assets… and the policy is to “Flaunt it if you’ve got it”. Today’s real women disagree with media experts who claim size zero is in. They believe that “Real women have curves.”

Don’t get married, Devgn advises Saif and Kareena

On KJo’s talk show, the actor confessed that he didn’t think Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor tying the knot was a good idea
While one thought that Ajay Devgn coming solo on Karan Johar's Koffee With Karan might turn out to be damp squib, Devgn has conversely turned out to be an absolute shocker.

In a statement, which threw Karan Johar almost off his chair, Devgn looked straight into Karan's eye and said that Bebo and Saif should not tie the knot.
The story goes that Karan was in his favourite 'Rapid Fire Round', when Devgn blurted out that Saif and Kareena should not marry. What exactly happened? "Well, Karan asked Ajay to render some piece of marital advice to Saif and Kareena.
Without batting an eyelid, Ajay said, 'Don't get married'. If it wasn't a 'Rapid Fire Round' Karan would have definitely probed why Devgn holds this opinion about Saif's and Kareena's future," says our source.
Is that statement going to remain in the episode? Said the source, "Why not? That's quite a statement, isn't it?"
But knowing Karan to be a curious cat, we wouldn't be surprised if he asked Ajay why he said that about Saif and Kareena.
What is surprising is that the advice of not to marry has come from a man who himself is rather happily married to KJo's good friend.
According to a friend of Devgn, the statement was made in good fun. "Woh usne masti mein bola hoga," he said.
Devgn, Kareena and Saif remained unavailable for comment. Ditto for Fazila Allana, managing director of SOL, which produces the show.
