Is fuller-faced Cheryl Cole carrying a little extra weight as she flies out to Los Angeles hot on the heels of Derek Hough?

The are-they-aren't-they love story between Cheryl Cole and Derek Hough shows no sign of concluding just yet after the Girls Aloud star flew out to Los Angeles - a mere 24 hours after her supposed beau.

The glowing star was also looking truly back to health following her malaria ordeal last year, and has a fuller-faced look to match her early days in Girls Aloud, perhaps due to the addition of a few pounds.

Looking casual but stylish in mushroom-coloured jeans which were perhaps a little too tight, a chocolate brown belted shirt-style coat and matching lace-up high-heeled ankle boots, the singer bore a coy smile on her face as she went to board her flight.

Dancer Hough, 25, had flown to Britain last week as a romantic surprise for the 27-year-old  X Factor judge - but it appeared his ploy hadn't gone according to plan when he was seen returning just five days later looking exceedingly glum.

Rumours at the time said Derek had issued the Promise This star with an ultimatum before he left, asking her to choose between him and her ex-husband, Ashley Cole, who she's said still to be holding a torch for.

But now Cheryl has followed almost immediately in his footsteps and boarded a flight from London's Heathrow to LAX. 

It's just the latest twist in the pair's courtship, which they've never confirmed or denied, though both parties have left heavy hints that they are in fact in a relationship.

Appearing on television England yesterday, Cleese said the age difference between the pair was "inappropriate."

But the Daily Mail can reveal that computer tycoon Sir Clive Sinclair, 69, has secretly married his lap dancer fiancee Angie Bowness, who is 36 years his junior.
They have been engaged a year but have been seeing each other, on and off, for more than a decade.


The pair wed at the Civil Court in Las Vegas on April 16. The single witness is believed to have been a passer-by.
The inventor and Miss Bowness, 33, a former Miss England, had flown to the U.S. two days before and were staying at the luxurious Bellagio Hotel.
Before heading for the U.S., Sir Clive had bought a platinum wedding ring from jeweller Asprey.
Last night, Miss Bowness told the Mail: 'We're over the moon. We're very happy.'
Sir Clive said: 'I suggested on the plane that we get married. It was a spur of the moment thing.'
When asked what qualities attracted him to his future bride he replied: 'Well she is a former Miss England, isn't she.'
He added: 'We don't know where we will honeymoon yet - it's all been rather quick.'


On marrying at the age of 69, he said: 'I hadn't thought I'd get married at this stage'.
And, asked about the age gap between the pair, he replied: 'It's just an age gap. Our relationship works extremely well.'
According to sources, the vows were kept very simple because 'they just wanted to legally formalise their relationship'.
Last night, a friend of Miss Bowness said: 'Angie is absolutely over the moon to have married Sir Clive. And he's thrilled - he can't stop calling her My Lady.'
Indeed, Miss Bowness now takes the title of Lady Sinclair because of his life peerage.


She apparently wore a 'cute' short blue Alexander Wang dress for the ceremony and Christian Louboutin shoes. Sinclair, meanwhile, chose a suit.
